Duncan Tournament (Model 77). Released 1929. wood (maple). The original Duncan yo-yo. The Model 77 Tournament was Duncan's flagship from 1929 onward. The Imperial shape was later based on this design. Wooden construction with fixed axle. Duncan sold replicas as '1955 Super Tournament Replica' — still available. Original pre-1965 examples are highly collectible. The industry standard for half a century; all classic tricks were invented on these.
